Our Mission:

The mission of the Higher Education Council is to advance the standards of professional preparation in all association disciplines (e.g. health education, physical education, recreation, and exercise science).

What We Do:

The Higher Education Council is a great resource for information addressing quality instruction, best practices, curriculum development, student needs, and current research. Specifically, the higher education council seeks to:

  • Plan and conduct informative programs during state conferences.
  • Collaborate with the future professional’s council.
  • Support professional growth and development for all association disciplines.

How to Get Involved:

Members can get involved in a variety of ways at different capacities within the organization.

  • Spread the word! Talk to your colleagues and future professionals about the benefits of being a member of ASAHPERD.
  • Promote state conferences and encourage professionals to attend and present.
  • Provide any valuable information and/or make suggestions for the upcoming year.
  • Become involved in a leadership capacity.
